Make sure your hands are clean before unwrapping the tampon.
Unwrap the tampon, holding it by the rounded end with the string hanging down.

With your other hand, gently separate the folds of skin around the vaginal opening.
Place the rounded end of the tampon into the vaginal opening and push it in towards your back.
Use your fingertip to push the tampon inside until the string is the only part remaining outside the body.
Make sure the tampon is comfortably in place, ensuring it is not inserted too deeply or not far enough.
To remove the tampon, gently pull the string downwards and outwards. Dispose of used tampons in a sanitary bin.
